- 4ttees: Style Meets Purpose in Modern Apparel
You ever put on a shirt and feel like it’s saying something your voice hasn’t even spoken yet? That moment when fabric becomes identity — when style becomes awareness. That’s the space 4TTees was built for. This isn’t just apparel; it’s a cultural shift stitched with purpose. When you step into 4TTees, you’re not just buying clothes. You’re joining a movement rooted in truth, heritage, and the kind of authenticity the fashion world can’t manufacture. This isn’t your average clothing line. It’s a movement wrapped in style, purpose, and culture. If you’re into modern cultural apparel that speaks volumes without shouting, stick around. I’m about to spill the tea on why 4TTees is a gamechanger. Let’s be real. Fast fashion is everywhere, and it’s easy to get caught up in the hype of high price, trendy clothes. But here’s the kicker - that high price tag often hides a messy story. Exploited workers, zero respect for culture and most of all just a business that is out for profit and nothing more. At 4TTees my focus is to inspire and uplift, to bring about real change in the Black Community, not profit. Every few months, another report drops exposing the wild mark‑ups behind high‑end fashion. Versace, Gucci, Prada—names that carry weight, status, and a whole lot of marketing—are charging sky‑high prices for items that often cost a fraction to produce overseas. But here’s the real story: Luxury brands have mastered the art of selling identity. They convince you that a logo stitched in China somehow makes you more worthy, more seen, more “in.” Meanwhile, the actual cost of the product stays low, and the retail price climbs higher every year. Not because the product changed, but because the perception did. And that’s where awareness comes in. Perception is the real reason so many Black owned businesses fail because you believe that by patronizing that business the world will perceive you in a negative manner. For example, remember FUBU; I can remember rocking' one of my favorite shirts from that collection when my Brothers in my Unit roasted me the entire night. After being in business now for a little over 4 years I realize that our culture sets the trend on what is in or out in the fashion world. At Conscious Apparel , I'm not here to knock anyone’s hustle. To each his own. If someone wants to drop four figures on a shirt that cost twenty bucks to make, that’s their choice. But I am here to remind people that value isn’t defined by a label. Authenticity isn’t stitched into a designer tag. And awareness—real awareness—means understanding what you’re buying and why. Our designs uplift, inspire, and spark conversation because they come from a place of truth, not trend-chasing. We’re not selling illusions. We’re selling perspective. We’re selling identity that doesn’t need a luxury logo to feel powerful. That’s why modern ethical apparel is not just a trend; it’s a necessity. When you choose ethical brands, you’re choosing designs that honor heritage. It’s about wearing your values on your sleeve - literally. And for those of us who want to celebrate Black culture and identity, this kind of apparel is a powerful tool for self-expression and pride. Okay, so what’s the deal with 4TTees? Why should you care? Here’s the scoop: Purpose-Driven Designs : Every Tee tells a story. The designs are inspired by Black history, culture, and my own personal journey of self-discovery. It’s not just fashion; it’s a conversation starter. Quality You Can Feel : Forget flimsy fabrics. 4TTees uses premium, sustainable materials that feel soft and last long. Trust me, once you try them, you won’t want to go back. Community Focused : 4TTees isn’t just selling clothes; they’re building a community. Their mission is to uplift and inspire, especially within the Black community, by fostering knowledge of self through unique apparel. Never A Sale : The prices at 4TTees are the price you will always see. I don't do sales because I don't mark up my prices for huge profits and shipping is always free. The best part? These Tees spark conversations. People ask, “Where’d you get that?” and you get to share the story behind the design. It’s a win-win. Buying from brands like mines isn’t just a fashion choice; it’s a statement. Here’s why your support matters: Promotes Cultural Awareness : Wearing designs that celebrate Black heritage helps spread knowledge and pride. Builds a Community of Like-Minded People : When you wear 4TTees, you join a movement of conscious consumers who care about style and substance. I’ve seen firsthand how these choices ripple out. Friends and family start asking questions, and suddenly, you’re part of a bigger conversation about change and identity. If you’re itching to add some meaningful style to your wardrobe, here’s a quick guide to diving into the world of 4ttees: Visit the Website : Check out the collections online. Take your time to read the stories behind each design. Pick Your Favorites : Choose Tees that resonate with your vibe and values. Mix and Match : Think about how you’ll style them with what you already own. Spread the Word : Share your finds on social media or with friends. The more people know, the bigger the impact. Stay Connected : Follow 4TTees by joining our mailing list on the Homepage for updates, new drops, and community events. Trust me, once you start wearing pieces that mean something, you’ll never look at fashion the same way again. So, if you’re ready to blend style with purpose and support a brand that truly cares, 4ttees is waiting for you. It’s more than just apparel - it’s a movement. So why settle for ordinary when you can wear your story loud and proud? Sometimes the most valuable thing you can wear is Awareness.
- Beyond Tulsa: Remembering Black Massacres — Why Our New Conscious Apparel Jersey Exists
The thought behind this particular piece of apparel came from a conversation I had with an older white gentleman. He asked me about the significance of the names and dates on the Conscious Apparel Logo. I should mention he was around 65 or 70 and had been led to believe, like many others, that Tulsa, Oklahoma's "Black Wall Street" was just one stain on American history. Imagine his surprise when I educated him about the countless Black communities and towns that were destroyed after the abolishment of slavery. There are so many that the names and dates on my logo are just a fraction of the total. I let him know that there was more than one Tulsa. The beauty of it? I showed him how easy it was to type a name and date into his search bar and access the information. Apparel Activism, Reach One / Teach One. The Importance of Remembering Our History When people talk about racial violence in America, the 1921 Tulsa Massacre often stands out — and for good reason. It remains one of the most devastating acts of white supremacist terrorism in U.S. history. It destroyed over 35 blocks of the prosperous Greenwood District, known as Black Wall Street , and left as many as 300 Black residents dead. But here’s the truth we don’t hear nearly enough: Tulsa was not the only massacre. Not even close. Across the late 1800s and early 1900s, Black communities faced coordinated attacks, mass killings, and violent expulsions. Many of these events were buried, denied, or erased from textbooks for generations. The Tulsa Massacre was just one of many such events in U.S. history. At Conscious Apparel , we believe remembering these stories isn’t optional — it’s essential. Especially now, as we see the removal of many historical Black events and achievements from public institutions across the nation. It’s up to us to educate ourselves and not rely solely on what’s presented to us. That’s why we created our new “More Than One” Jersey . This piece is designed not just for style but for truth-telling. I chose the jersey style over a traditional tee because I wanted it to stand out and be versatile enough for any occasion. I’ve started making it a point to include a blog post with each Conscious Apparel piece. This way, you get a little background on what inspired the creation and the history behind it. We love making a statement without saying a word, but I want to arm you with knowledge. When someone asks about the piece you’re wearing, you can pass that knowledge along. Now, back to the knowledge!!! Tulsa Was One Chapter in a Much Larger Story Here are just a few of the many massacres that history often overlooks: Colfax, Louisiana (1873) More than 80 Black men were killed when white mobs attacked a courthouse where Black citizens were defending the results of a local election. Wilmington, North Carolina (1898) This was the only successful coup d’état on U.S. soil. White supremacists overthrew a multiracial government, killed dozens of Black residents, and burned Black-owned businesses. Elaine, Arkansas (1919) One of the deadliest racial massacres in U.S. history. Over 200 Black sharecroppers and their families were slaughtered for organizing a labor union. Washington, D.C. (1919) White mobs hunted Black residents for nearly a week after false accusations spread through the city. Ocoee, Florida (1920) Black residents attempting to vote were met with mob violence, killings, and the destruction of their homes and churches — just miles from where many of us live today. These events — and many more — form a pattern, not an anomaly. Tulsa was horrific, but it was not unique. And that’s exactly why remembering matters. Why Conscious Apparel Created the “More Than One” Jersey Fashion can be empty — or it can be powerful. We choose powerful. Our new jersey is designed to spark conversation, honor the victims, and challenge the silence that has surrounded these massacres for decades. It’s not about guilt. It’s about awareness, truth, and legacy. Every stitch is a reminder that: Black communities built prosperity even in the face of terror. Those communities were repeatedly targeted and destroyed. Their stories deserve to be told — loudly, proudly, and accurately. Wearing this jersey means you’re choosing to stand with history, not hide from it. Why This Matters Today Many of these massacres were intentionally erased from public memory. Records were destroyed. Survivors were silenced. Textbooks ignored them. Even the Tulsa Massacre itself was barely mentioned in mainstream history until the late 1990s. But silence is a form of violence too. By learning, remembering, and speaking these truths, we help ensure that the lives lost — and the communities destroyed — are never forgotten again. Join the Movement The Conscious Apparel “Never Forget” Jersey isn’t just clothing. It’s a statement. A conversation starter. A refusal to let history be rewritten or erased. If you believe in truth, justice, and honoring the legacy of Black resilience, this jersey was made for you. When I wear my jersey, I feel a connection to those who fought for their rights. I feel empowered to share their stories. And I hope you do too. Let’s keep the conversation going. Let’s educate ourselves and others. Together, we can ensure that these stories are never forgotten. Together, we can make a difference. So, what do you say? Making a Statement Without Saying a Word At 4TTees , fashion isn’t just fabric — it’s communication. It’s Culture. It’s Conviction. And that’s exactly why I created my own Brand called Conscious Apparel , built around one simple but powerful idea: Making A Statement Without Saying A Word. Not every message needs a microphone. For example, the "There Was More Than One Tulsa" is something some people still need to learn about. When the true American history is that every free town and Black community established after slavery was burned to the ground and its citizens murdered in the streets, burned in their homes and businesses. Understand there was more than one Black Wall Street. Sometimes the shirt on your back speaks louder than anything you could post, tweet, or debate. And that’s the energy behind every design in my collection. To Each His Own — And That’s the Point Let’s be real. Everybody won’t agree with everything I say, create, or believe. And honestly, that’s cool with me. My philosophy has always been to each his own . I’m not here to force-feed ideas or tell anyone how to think. I'm not here to debate any topic that I have formed an opinion on based on the 76 life cycles that I have existed on this so-called planet. I’m here to express what matters to me — and to connect with the people who feel it too. Okay I'm not going to skip over that like didn't none of you guys notice the part about me saying that I'm 76. For those that really know me, know I really don't care for so called birthdays. If you want to know where the phrase, "You're older than you think originated from" Subscribe to the Blog Common Sense with your E-mail on the Home Page and read all about it when the Blog is Published. Now where was I, Oh Yeah, Conscious Apparel. Conscious Apparel isn’t about preaching because to me preaching is about putting on a show. With me it's about perspective. It’s about wearing something that reflects your truth, your pride, your curiosity, or your courage. If it sparks a conversation, great. I try to create a link with each design that gives a little insight behind each Tee so if that conversation does happen you will have fuel for the fire. If it makes someone think twice, even better. If it simply makes you want to explore that Rabbit Hole for yourself, then it’s doing exactly what it was created to do. Designs That Uplift, Inspire, and Explore This country was founded on the backs of our ancestors and from our brothers and sisters from Africa along with so many other people of color. That Rabbit Hole runs deep because so many of you think that you are descendants of African slaves which is far from the truth. Another Rabbit Hole to explore and believe me when I tell you that one exploration just leads to another. The Black community has always been a source of strength, creativity, resilience, and brilliance. My designs aim to honor that — not with clichés, but with intention. You’ll find pieces that uplift. Pieces that empower. Pieces that challenge the narrative. And yes… pieces that dive down a few rabbit holes. Know that I am seeking knowledge everyday but if I post it believe me, I have done the research for myself and have learned to question the narrative and think for myself and not take root into something just because it is traditional. Because sometimes the truth is layered. Sometimes history is hidden. Sometimes the story is deeper than what we were taught. Conscious Apparel gives me the space to explore those layers visually — through symbolism, bold statements, and art that carries meaning. Where Fashion Meets Thought: The Common Sense Blog If you’ve ever wondered what’s behind the designs — the ideas, the questions, the inspirations, the “why” — you’ll find it in my blog section called Common Sense . That’s where I break things down. Where I unpack the topics that don’t always make it into the mainstream. Where I talk about culture, history, identity, and the things we all see but don’t always say out loud. Look forward to my upcoming Blogs where I really go behind the Religion that lately has become a topic of mainstream media. Is this something new or has it always been the focus of so-called worship. The focus of course being money. Turn a blind eye if you will but like I said before to each his own, but silence is one of the many tactics of the Oppressor. Look at how in this present day and time the 1st Amendment means nothing in the eyes of the Oppressor especially when those rights are infringed upon on those who thought they had rights meaning people who are of European descent because if we are being honest those Constitutional Rights where never meant for People of Color. Another Rabbit Hole which I'll be making Noise about. They say if you start making NOISE against the machine you become a target. Well Common Sense is the voice. Conscious Apparel is the visual. Together, they tell the full story of what 4TTees stands for. Wearing Your Truth At the end of the day, Conscious Apparel is about expression. It’s about giving people something real to wear — something that reflects pride, awareness, curiosity, and individuality. You don’t have to shout to be heard. Sometimes the right design does the talking for you. And if someone doesn’t agree with the message? That’s fine. That’s freedom. That’s life. To each his own. But for those who do connect with it — welcome to the Revolution which will not be TELEVISED, it will be STREAMED. NEW GENERATION OLD REVOLUTION
